Events in Hossegor

Hossegor offers its visitors many different events, whether cultural, sporting or social ones.

In June, the "Lire sur la vague" festival is held specially for children. This event is free and open to everyone, bringing together all kinds of childcare professionals and promoting reading and children's literature to prevent and combat illiteracy.

During the first days of July, Hossegor celebrates the "Belles Lettres" festival by hosting a book fair. Literary strolls, readings throughout the town, clown performances, contest games, stage design, rebranding... Books and literature become a focal point for the whole town!

In mid-July, the Golf d'Hossegor hosts the Grand Prix of Landes golf course, open to French or foreign golfers qualified under the amateur status rules, licensed by the French Golf Federation or by a certified foreign association.

At the beginning of August, the Bridge Festival welcomes bridge players during a three-day festival including patton, mixed and open tournaments. Each of these three tournaments is held independently and takes place in the halls of the Casino of Hossegor.

At the end of August, takes place the "Trois jours fous d'Hossegor", organised by the retailers' association "Différence Hossegor": a giant fire sale held along the streets of the town centre.

At the end of September, it's time for dance and music! The Latinhossegor Festival welcomes on its stage artists from Latin America.

In September, takes place the Mot&Arts festival ( dedicated to the kustom culture), which is a mix of biking and street art performances: sand biking, bike craftsmen, exhibitions, concerts, food tasting... A real must-see free event!

In October, it's time to surf! Hossegor is one of the destinations of the World Surfing Competition, alongside the Quiksilver & Roxy Pro France. A great opportunity to admire incredible surfing performances.
