Practical information about My Home In Hossegor

Hossegor in a few

Relaxation, well-being, high-level surfing, hiking or cycling, lazing on the beach or discovering the natural and historical heritage of the Silver Coast: Hossegor offers a wide range of activities for all kinds of holidays.

To complete the picture of the Landes coast, you can take a day trip to the neighbouring towns of Bayonne ( to the north) and Biarritz ( to the south) and enjoy a variety of activities.

How to get there?

By car: the highway A63 - also known as the Landes highway - will take you to Hossegor. Take exit 8 Capbreton-Hossegor or exit 10 St-Geours-de-Maremne, towards St-Vincent-de-Tyrosse via the highway RN 10 and then the D33 to Hossegor.

By train: the nearest train stations are located in Bayonne (25 km) - served by the TGV Atlantique, or in Dax (35 km). It takes about 5.5 hours to get from Paris to Bayonne.

By plane: to reach Hossegor by plane, you can arrive at Biarritz-Parme airport (35 km away). You can also arrive in Spain, at Behobia San Sebastian Airport which is 58km away. The third option is the airport of Pau which is 110km away.

When should I come?

Because of its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, the Landes is a region with an oceanic climate. The most favourable and mild months run from April to October, but you should know that it can rain at any time of the year - it is part of the landscape. Otherwise, it's not the Landes! If you don't mind the rain, you can choose your holiday rental in Hossegor from now on!

Good to know

During the summer months, you can attend a breathtaking 1. 5 hour show of Cesta Punta (the Basque name of Jai alai) - a variation of the traditional game of Basque pelota! Hossegor was the first French town that acquired a special equipment for this sport, so unique and fascinating at the same time.
